Commissioning Services

Loop Checking & Commissioning

Electronic circuit board and instrumentation close-up

A measurement system is a chain—sensor, cable, junction box, signal conditioner, DAQ. One weak link and your data is wrong. We verify every connection end-to-end before you go live.

How It Works

New build or existing system.
Every channel verified.

Whether you're commissioning from scratch or auditing after modifications—you get documented proof that every measurement channel reads correctly.

New

Full system commissioning

New Installations

Commission the entire measurement system from scratch. Every channel verified from sensor through to analysis software before your first measurement.

  • End-to-end signal injection
  • Wiring, shielding & grounding verified
  • Configuration backups & handover package

Existing

Audit & verification

System Modifications

After expansions, sensor replacements, or configuration changes—we re-verify affected channels and document the updated system state.

  • Channel-by-channel verification records
  • Signal conditioning & DAQ review
  • As-built documentation updated

Capabilities

What's Included

End-to-End Loop Verification

Known signal injection at the sensor, verification at the DAQ. Every channel tested and documented individually.

Cable & Wiring Checks

Continuity testing, shield grounding verification, insulation resistance, and connector inspection for every cable run.

Signal Conditioning Setup

ICP current source verification, charge amplifier configuration, filter settings, and gain/offset calibration for each channel.

DAQ Configuration Review

Channel mapping, sample rate settings, trigger configuration, engineering unit scaling, and data storage verification.

System Integration Testing

Full system functional test under realistic conditions. Verify data flow from sensors through to analysis software and reporting.

Commissioning Documentation

Channel-by-channel verification records, as-built wiring documentation, configuration backups, and handover package.

What We Bring to Site

Industries

Who Uses This Service

Aerospace

Flight test instrumentation demands zero tolerance for measurement errors. Every strain gauge, thermocouple, and accelerometer channel verified against known references before first flight.

Automotive Testing

NVH test cells, crash test rigs, and durability test systems. Hundreds of channels that must all read correctly from day one. One wrong scaling factor corrupts an entire test campaign.

Oil & Gas

Offshore platform condition monitoring and pipeline integrity systems. Remote locations mean commissioning must be right the first time—you can't easily send someone back.

Power Generation

Turbine monitoring, balance-of-plant protection, and efficiency measurement systems. Channels protecting million-dollar rotating equipment need perfect commissioning.

Research Labs

University and R&D facility test rigs. Complex multi-physics setups with mixed sensor types, sampling rates, and trigger configurations.

Defense

Weapons testing, blast measurement, and structural qualification. MIL-STD compliance requires documented proof of measurement chain integrity.

FAQ

Common Questions

How long does commissioning take?

Depends on channel count. A 50-channel system typically takes 2–3 days. We provide a schedule during scoping.

What types of DAQ systems do you support?

Any system—National Instruments, HBM, Brüel & Kjær, Siemens, and others. We work with the hardware you have.

What signals do you test?

ICP/IEPE accelerometers, charge-mode sensors, strain gauges, thermocouples, RTDs, voltage/current signals—any analog measurement channel.

Do you provide documentation?

Yes. Channel-by-channel verification records, as-built wiring documentation, configuration backups, and a complete handover package.

Can you verify after modifications?

Absolutely. We re-verify affected channels after sensor replacements, cable re-routes, DAQ reconfigurations, or system expansions.
